Its Relevance for Our Time

From 1913 until 1930, Swiss psychoanalyst C. G. Jung entered a vital and difficult period of his life, which he called his
“confrontation with the unconscious.” Faced with a flood of mythic figures, fearful visions, and prophetic dreams, he journaled
and painted. The resulting Red Book was called “the most important book in psychology never published” until its
release in 2009.
