Dream Destiny Transformation Groups Dreams and dreamwork are the improvisational music of the soul. Through them, creative insights, wisdom, prescriptions, corrections to our life course, and healing are shared with us from the perspective of the ‘greater personality.' Ron Malashock
It is with genuine pleasure that I invite you to consider joining me in the newest Dream Destiny Transformation Groups. Thank you for taking the time to review this announcement and the attached flier. The newest evolution of the group incorporates aspects of the Alchemy of Truth groups I lead, healing the emotional body, and Jungian dreamwork and active imagination. The purpose of Dream Destiny is to support the conscious evolution, emotional decongestion, and individuation process of each group member.
Below are Frequently Asked Questions concerning Dream Destiny. Please feel free to share this letter and the flier with everyone who may have an interest in Dream Destiny. I appreciate your support, and look forward to seeing you in the group.
What kind of person chooses to attend the Dream Destiny Transformation Group? Ø The clearest answer is: A person who desires deeper self knowledge, and further psychological and spiritual development. People in the group come from all walks of life and professions, and bring a great richness of insight and depth. Do I need to remember lots of dreams in order to participate in the group? Ø No! First of all, each group member works within themselves with all the dreams that are shared in the group in an intense, creative way. Second, we work with any and all unconscious and life issues that emerge. Third, participant's psyches are stirred deeply by the group, and often more dreams begin to be remembered. Is this group therapy? Ø I do not consider Dream Destiny “group therapy” in a conventional sense, but therapeutic and transformational processes are occurring all the time. If you are in therapy, the group can augment your process and provide material to bring back to therapy. If you are not in therapy, Dream Destiny supports psychological and spiritual development, and a deepening self-knowledge. This may lead to a desire for personal therapy. What typically happens during a group? How can Dream Destiny help with my growth? Ø Most group members will share a dream, a life issue, a synchronistic occurrence, an emotional block, or an active imagination. The group leader and group members take this material in, feel and work on it within themselves, and then share their experiences and associations in such a way that the dreamer can then process what “resonates,” and work deeply on the relevant issues. The ensuing group interaction often leads to rich work on “core issues” of participants. When indicated, I will do one-on-one processing of a deep issue within the context of the group. I know dreams have important meanings for our lives, but I don't remember very many. Can you suggest some techniques for remembering more dreams? Ø Adopt a “dreamer's attitude:” Keep a journal at your bedside, and commit to writing your dreams down any time you remember them (even if it is two in the morning). Ask with intention to remember your dreams each night before you go to sleep. Try to get a full night's sleep most nights. This has been shown to help dream recall. Attend Dream Destiny: The very fact of being in the dream group helps most participants to remember and write more dreams. Further, the dreams respond in profound ways to the work done in Dream Destiny and in therapy.
“Dr. Malashock's Dream Destiny Transformation Group helped me open to and explore the depths of my being. The supportive atmosphere of the group was amazing. Working at the deepest level of the psyche has led, for the first time, to sustained changes in relationship to my own issues, and to a richer sense of life in general.” J. T.

I look forward to hearing from you, and, hopefully, seeing you in group. (By the way, the dreamlike painting above is by the surrealist artist, Remedios Varo.) The path of working with dreams and the unconscious, deep self-discovery, and the quest for meaning and authenticity is a courageous one. It is my honor to accompany you on this path, Ron
