Integrative Bereavement
Workshop Presentation and Discussion:
Bereavement may be the most encountered topic in clinical practice, and the most poignant in our own lives. Not limited to the death of a loved one, in bereavement we grieve loss of a friend, a mate, a famiy in transition. We grieve identity in the loss of employment or social role that has provided self-esteem. Bereavement perhaps involves a loss of innocence, or a lost hope.

This Workshop invites anyone suffering bereavement, along with with Continuing Ed for health professionals. Even psychologists are often unaware of the nature of the bereavement process, with little training to assess and treat.

This Integrative Psychology event offers clinical practitioners--and anyone in bereavement-- tools to move beyond the innocence of interrupted happiness. This workshop provides an “all-quadrant” model to assess symptoms of bereavement, and proposes practices for well-being.
