Heritage Clinic provides a comprehensive and integrated range of mental health intervention
programs for seniors to reduce mental health disabilities and support well-being and
independence. Services include assisting clients to access government benefits programs for
income and housing opportunities, vocational placement, homeless outreach, case
management, dual diagnosis treatment, consumer credit assistance, senior social and
educational programs, Legal Aid, community outpatient clinics and psychosocial
rehabilitation centers.
Responsibilities
Provide field-based individual, family and group counseling, targeted case management and
adjunctive services to a broad variety of older adult clients with mental illness. Services
include, but are not limited to, clinical outreach in the community, networking with referring
professionals, crisis management, psychotherapy, mental health case management, helping
clients identify and access resources and housing, and assisting in the establishment of
benefits. Licensed clinicians will also provide weekly supervision of clinical staff and clinical
trainees.
Qualifications
Clinicians with a license in clinical psychology or clinical social work or registered nursing
preferred. Unlicensed clinicians must have a Master’s degree in a mental health field and be
working towards licensure. Experience in gero-psychology is preferred.
Must have excellent computer and word processing skills, be able to handle multiple
simultaneous tasks, demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, be able to
maintain confidentiality and present a professional appearance.
If essential job skills are equivalent, preference is given to bilingual individuals,
particularly those speaking Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese and/or Arabic.
