Alliant International University provides doctoral candidates the opportunity to pursue Integrative Psychology interests within an American Psychological Association (APA) Accredited graduate training program that culminates in the Psy.D. degree and 1500 Internship Hours experience towards Licensure.
Pursuing a Clinical Psychology Psy.D. with an Integrative Psychology emphasis enables graduate candidates to coordinate courses and research in both traditional and integrative areas, to acquire clinical experience through the implementation of integrative practices, and to conceptualize and complete a dissertation that is enhanced by an integrative framework.
The Center for Integrative Psychology, “housed” in CSPP’s clinical Psy.D. Program, offers candidates the opportunity of enriched learning and mentorship. Integrative candidates help develop the Center's mission, and interact with professionals and each other at community events and Integrative workshops. A traditional, rigorous APA accredited clinical study and training, supplemented with an Integrative curriculum, designed and taught by members of the Center, enables graduates to function in both traditional and integrative settings.
The declared Integrative Psychology Emphasis, offered only in the Psy.D. program at the San Diego campus, requires study in courses and seminars from the following list. They are available as electives to San Diego Ph.D. and MFT candidates.
